In keeping with Rowayton’s ambiguous yet generic names (The Market, The Restaurant, etc.), Rowayton welcomed THE SHOP this past November. Rowayton natives and locals Zoe Hamann and Lauryn Soden, founders of Stems + Co, a lifestyle flora and home goods line that launched last summer at Rowayton Farmers Market, were excited to give Stems + Co a year-round home as well as offer a wide range of home décor and lifestyle items. Unique to this 500-square-foot store, The Shop exudes a rustic, boho-chic vibe and global sensibility with its white shiplap walls and reclaimed wood flooring accented with touches of color throughout. Stems + Co floral and succulent arrangements as well as their hand-poured soy candles decorate the interior and exude a welcoming yet subtle aroma.
Adding to the complete lifestyle offerings are new and antique home goods and Assouline coffee table books as well as jewelry, ready-to-wear and accessories by established designers and global artisans. Eclectic jewelry, accessories and women and children’s clothing from Kenya, Bali, Morocco and Italy are juxtaposed by modern accessories by Graf & Lantz and Fog Linen, fashion-forward jewelry by Fin Montauk and Mercurial NYC, women’s apparel by Love Shack Fancy and whimsical children’s clothing by Rylee + Cru, offering a curated selection that speaks to everyone.
“The goal was to create a treasure trove offering something for everyone,” says Hamann. “Whether it be a floral arrangement for a dinner party, a housewarming or holiday gift for a friend, a child’s birthday gift or just a special treat for yourself or household, The Shop is a one-stop haven for special, unique finds.”
While reflecting the small-town, seaside vibe true to its Rowayton locale, The Shop lends a modern sophistication and speaks to a worldly, versatile clientele providing a destination that embodies a spirit and lifestyle appealing
